I WRITE regarding articles in The Argus (February 11) about the recent further vandalism of Old Steine Gardens and the very sad condition of the Madeira arches.
Much of the blame can be levelled at the current council administration which is systematically destroying many areas of our city's history and the whole appearance and pleasant atmosphere of our once great city.
The council's continued mad, unwanted and unused introduction of so many cycle lanes and the complete change to our historic Valley Gardens, Madeira Drive etc is just part of what they are trying to do to destroy/change our city and it will not stop whilst they are in power, mainly backed by Labour council members.
We now know that Brighton and Hove is now included in the world's 100 most congested and polluted cities.
So much for all of the unwanted and unnecessary road changes etc.
What next, we may well ask, but until we get an administration change that provides a sympathetic, sensible and financially beneficial future for Brighton and Hove we will continue on this disastrous decline.
