A MAN has been fined for stealing candles from John Lewis.
Paul Ripley has been ordered to pay a total of £199 by Crawley magistrates after stealing two candles worth £20 from the shop in Portfield Way, Chichester, on August 19 last year.

The 44-year-old admitted to the offence.
Ripley, of no fixed address, was fined £80 and ordered to pay £34 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
