A PERSON with a suspected broken ankle had to be rescued from under cliffs by the coastguard.
Newhaven Coastguard were tasked with helping the injured person under the cliffs at Saltdean on Monday, February 7.
The casualty had a suspected broken ankle.
The crew administered initial first aid before the injured person was transferred to the Royal Sussex County Hospital accident and emergency department.
Shoreham Coastguard Rescue Team also attended the scene.
The incident was Newhaven Coastguard’s 21st call out of the year so far.
