STAR of The Undateables Lily Taylor has revealed she still lives with Daniel Wakeford.
The pair met on the Channel 4 show in 2015 before getting engaged in 2018.
However, the couple called off their wedding plans last year.
But during an interview on The Argus Podcast, Lily, who was born and raised in Steyning, said that she and Daniel remain good friends.
The former couple live together at Brighton Vision House, along with a number of other people with special needs.
“My life has changed a lot since being on the show,” Lily said.
“Daniel is very nice and loveable and I’m still really good friends with him.”
Lily has a learning disability and Daniel has autism.
Lily’s mother Karen, who joined her on the podcast, said the supported living home the pair share was set up by Daniel’s parents Barry and Carol Wakeford.
“Through The Undateables, Lily and Daniel got engaged and set up home together,” she said. “It’s probably one of the happiest places you could ever visit.
“Lockdown was really hard. They had three wonderful years together. And it came to a natural conclusion that they wouldn’t get married.
“But they still share this incredible home with their friends, and they are still very good friends. They care for each other still very much.”
Prior to living with Daniel, Lily, a former student at Oak Grove College in Worthing and Chichester College, said she was “quite lonely”.
Karen said while blessed that her daughter now leads a happy life, it wasn’t always that way.
“Unfortunately, Steyning is a little bit no mans land when it comes to activities and places to go for Lily to feel that she’s not just the odd one out,” she said.
“It got to the point where if you searched our house on Google Maps, you’d see a little shadow in the window, and that was Lily.
“Lily was always stood at her bedroom window looking out into the world and waiting for life to happen.
“But our whole family has been blessed by meeting Daniel and the Wakeford’s. We all love Daniel because Daniel is so loveable.”
Reminiscing about Daniel’s proposal on Brighton Bandstand in 2018, Lily said she will never forget that special day.
“I didn’t have a clue what Daniel was doing,” she said.
Karen added: “When Daniel said, ‘ah, here she comes’, the whole entire group watching were in floods of tears.
“When I went to hug her, she was trembling from head to foot with joy.
“It was a dream come true. If we could make it all work then we would. Everyone would love to see Lily and Daniel get married, but at the moment it’s not going to be for now.”
