AN ALBION player arrested on suspicion of sexual assault remains under investigation.
The footballer, who is in his 20s, was arrested after a woman reported being sexually assaulted at The Arch nightclub in Brighton in October last year.
Sussex Police today confirmed that the allegations against the Brighton and Hove Albion star remain under investigation.
A man in his 40s was also arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following the incident.
A police spokesman said: “A man in his 40s from Brighton who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has had his conditional bail extended until April 6, 2022.
“A man in his 20s, also from Brighton, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
“No further information is available at this time.”
The Albion player and another man were previously released on police bail and remained on bail until earlier this month.
