KATIE Price is reportedly facing a probe into how she funds her lifestyle – despite being £3.2 million in debt.
The former glamour model's bankruptcy trustees are pulling together a dossier of all her recent deals ahead of a court meeting next month, according to The Mirror.
Sources claim she has not been engaging fully in paying creditors despite reportedly earning hundreds of thousands in TV and brand deals.
It is claimed she earned at least a six-figure sum from Channel 4 for renovation show Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion, while the BBC also paid her for a series of documentaries about son Harvey.
On Instagram, she regularly promotes beauty and bath products, as well as her KP Equestrian range, while she also gets advertising income from her YouTube channel.
The 43-year-old TV personality, who was born in Brighton, also recently enjoyed trips to the Maldives, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
According to The Mirror, a source said of the trustees: “They are casting the net far and wide to assess how much money is coming into Katie’s coffers.”
Katie, once worth £45m, was declared bankrupt in 2019. But a plan to pay off £12,000 a month to her creditors through an individual voluntary arrangement failed.
The next court hearing is on February 14 after being postponed at the end of last year.
It will assess her efforts to pay back some of £3.2m owed to creditors of her company Jordan Trading Ltd, which was set up in April 2003 to oversee her perfume and make-up lines.
Liquidating company Moorfields wrote in a report last April that Katie had “failed on multiple occasions to attend on the trustees” and had her “discharge [from bankruptcy] suspended”.
Katie denied she lived a lavish lifestyle and said “90 per cent” of her trips were for business.
One Maldives trip, from which she attended a Zoom bankruptcy hearing, was a “work assignment”, she said. News of the probe comes as The Mirror yesterday revealed her family are begging her to go to rehab.
Katie could face jail if found to have breached a restraining order banning her from contacting ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s fiancé.
Kieran is set to be quizzed by police over allegations he assaulted an underage girl in 2016, which he vehemently denies. He has not been arrested.
Katie was arrested on Friday at her home in Horsham in connection with the order.
On Monday, she avoided another potential jail sentence by paying £7,358 of motoring fines in full.
