A PERSON has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after emergency services were called to a car park.
Police were called to Morrisons' car park in Bedford Street, Bognor, at around 10.45am.
South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) was already at the scene and the person has been taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Members of the public reported a large police cordon around the town centre and police have advised people to stay away from the area.
Further details have not yet been released by police.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Just before 10.45am on Sunday police responded to a request from Secamb to attend a car park in Bedford Street, Bognor.
"The casualty has sustained serious injuries and is being taken to hospital by air ambulance.
"We advise anyone to stay away from the area while police conduct further enquiries.
"Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident."
