TRAFFIC queues are forming along the A27 in both directions due to ongoing roadworks.
Motorists may experience delays this morning as the repairs to the A27 continue to cause queues.
AA Traffic Watch shows heavy traffic moving slowly along the busy road from both the Patcham interchange eastbound and westbound at Falmer.
The delays are due to National Highways performing drainage repairs and maintenance within the central reservation.
This requires the right-hand lane to be closed for worker safety.
The delays will be ongoing until February 14 when the roadworks are removed.
A National Highways spokesman said: “There will be narrow lanes and a lane closure in place on both the eastbound and westbound carriageway of the A27 while we carry out work within the central reservation. The lane closure provides a safe working area, while keeping lanes open on the A27.
“This may cause some delays, so please plan extra time into your journeys.
“The speed limit will be reduced to 50mph for vehicles in the area with narrow lanes.”
