A MAN has been taken to hospital with "serious injuries" after being hit by a lorry on the A27 this morning.
The incident happened around 8.50am this morning westbound on the A27 Arundel Road.
The accident was close to the petrol station by the A280 at the Angmering and Clapham junction near Worthing
Traffic was slow in the area and the A27 Arundel Road was blocked for four hours. The road was cleared shortly after 1pm.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "The incident occurred on Arundel Road, Worthing, around 8.50am on Sunday 16 January.
"A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"Anyone who saw what happened or captured the incident on dash cam is urged to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Ilfracombe."
