New year, new Nando's! This month everyone's favourite chicken restaurant is adding some new plant-based items to its menu.
Nando's is also bringing back some old fan-favourites for a limited time only.
To coincide with Veganuary, Nando's is adding a new Spiced Chickpea Burger from January 5, perfect for those looking to go meat-free.
The burger contains a tasty chickpea and spinach patty, with hints of cumin, coriander and turmeric – loaded with houmous, red pepper chutney and topped with red pickled onions.
There is the return of the Mango & Lime PERI-ometer spice, also from January 5, which will replace the festive Clementine Spice which was on the menu in December.
As if that wasn't enough, two more items will be part of the new year menu, both available from January 25.
The new and improved Portobello Mushroom & Halloumi Pitta is back, which now has chilli jam, wild garlic aioli and lettuce on top.
Finally, Nando's is bringing back its cult favourite Chicken Livers, which is cooked in Nando's sauce and served in a Portuguese roll.
Nando's is hoping the new plant-based food items will help contribute towards a greener planet.
It hopes to be net-zero by 2030 and has already achieved carbon-neutral status.
You can order Nando's to your door or to take-out via Deliveroo.
