MOTORISTS are being warned to avoid three road closures in the county this week.

The latest expected works list from National Highways shows two new road closures due to be taking place.

From 8pm tonight to 6am on February 19, the A26 northbound and southbound from Beddingham to Newhaven will be closed for work to replace street lighting.

A diversion will be in place along the B2109 and temporary traffic signals will be put in place.

The westbound carriageway of the A27 will be closed from the A283 Shoreham junction to the Manor Road roundabout from 8pm on Thursday to 6am on Friday.

Closures will also take place between the same times on Thursday, January 13, and Friday, January 14.

A diversion will be in place along the A259.

On the A27/A23 eastbound to northbound, from Devil’s Dyke to Pyecombe, one lane will be closed for drainage works.

This is due to take place from 8pm on January 13 to 5am on January 14.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in its schedule.
