A MAN has been fined for assaulting a police officer and using threatening language in a hospital.
Paul Aspden has been ordered to pay £239 for assaulting Police Officer Thomas Appleby in Clyde Road, Brighton, on March 22, 2021.
The 54-year-old admitted the offence and was fined £120.
He will also have to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services.
Aspden, of Clyde Road, Brighton, was fined an additional £40 for using threatening and abusive language at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton the same day. He also admitted this offence.
