POLICE are investigating a burglary from a shop after £100,000 worth of drones were stolen.
Officers were called to Drone Safe Register in Terminus Road, Chichester, just after midnight on Tuesday, December 28 to reports of a burglary.
Police confirmed a break-in had taken place, but no suspects were found in the area. The value of the drones is believed to be £100,000.
The business was set up by Mark Boyt who said professional thieves targeted its Boxing Day orders. CCTV shows two men in black track suits entering the shop.
Drone Safe Register was set up six years ago and expanded in 2018 after it won backing from Peter Jones on BBC’s Dragons’ Den.
The shop is based in the Chichester Enterprise Centre which has 82 different units available to rent.
Anybody who witnessed anything in the area around that time which could help with the investigation is asked to contact police online, or by calling 101, quoting serial 0008 of 28/12.
