A BAND spent their entire record label budget for a new music video on a huge night out – filming it and releasing the footage as the video for their new single.
Drum and bass rock group Noisy were given £5,000 to make a music video for the latest single Rock 'n' Roll Raver.
However, the three-piece, who formed in Worthing in 2019, decided to withdraw the money and take 14 of their friends on a night out in Brighton – using GoPros to capture it all.
The group paid for a Hummer stretch limo, drinks, cigarettes, rides on Brighton Palace Pier and even for some of their friends to get a real Noisy and Rock 'n' Roll Raver tattoos.
Band members Cody Matthews (singer), Spencer Tobias-Williams (producer and guitarist) and Connor Cheetham (guitarist) said their new single isn’t about expensive production costs, stylists and set design – it’s about having a good time.
“Rock ‘n’ Roll Raver is about all the different characters you meet on a night out,” Cody said. “Everyone’s so different but all have one thing in common - they’re out escaping the mundane, completely losing their minds and forgetting about everything.
“We thought what better way to represent this song visually than taking all our mates on a night out, filming the whole thing with GoPros, and turning it into a music video.
“It feels like we’ve really captured what the song is about”.
The band, whose music combines drum and bass, hip-hop and rock, announced their first ever headline European tour earlier this year – including a show in their hometown.
The group are due to begin the tour in Paris on January 19, before performing shows across Germany and the Netherlands.
The band will perform a further 17 shows across the UK – including a show at Patterns in Brighton on February 15.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Raver follows the release of Young Dumb, which was unveiled as the soundtrack to the new FIFA 22 official game trailer.
The band also recently completed their debut headline tour, which included sold-out shows at Brighton’s Komedia Studio Bar.
The group has also performed at Reading and Leeds Festival, All Points East, Boardmasters and supported the likes of Yungblud, You Me At Six and Don Broco.
