TWO separate road traffics collisions have lead to the closure of the A27.
The A27 westbound was closed this evening from around 5pm following two incidents.
Police say a minor injury collision reported on the A27 at Patcham involving a car and a motorbike.
A second collision which was damage-only and was also attended by emergency services on A27 at Hollingbury involving two vans and one car.
The busy road was then closed westbound until around 7pm and has now reopened says the National Highways Agency.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Minor injury collision reported on the A27 at Patcham, westbound, involving a car and motorbike, and damage-only collision reported on A27 at Hollingbury involving two vans and one car, both shortly before 5pm.
"A27 temporarily closed westbound while the scene is cleared. Vehicle recovery is underway. Motorists advised to seek alternative routes."
