ARMED police and dog units were called to a flat this afternoon due to concerns about the behaviour and welfare of a man at the complex.
Police were called at 3.15pm to a flat in Shelley Road, Worthing, with pictures showing armed police and dog units entering the flats, while the rest of the area was cordoned off.
Officers made contact with the man in the flat and no one else was believed to be with him. The area is now safe and nobody has been injured.
South East Coast Ambulance Service was also waiting outside the cordon.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “At 3.15pm on Monday 22 November police were called to a flat in Shelley Road, Worthing, due to concerns about the behaviour and welfare of a man there.
“The immediate area has been secured to ensure public safety and nobody has been injured. There is not believed to be anyone else in the flat and officers have made contact with the man.”
