A NEW television advert features a number of recognisable landmarks.
The advert for Freesat, a free-to-air satellite television service, features two CGI crabs on their journey from the bottom of the ocean and onto land.
The crabs, which are called Ossi and Pod, spend the afternoon playing games on Brighton Palace Pier and going on the rides.
After winning a toy teddy bear, the pair then go for a sit down on Brighton Beach.
The 30-second video shows attractions on Brighton Palace Pier including the carousel, helter skelter and a number of rides and rollercoasters.
Freesat, which has been marketed since 2008, offers a satellite alternative to the Freeview service on digital terrestrial television.
In February this year, it was announced that Freesat was to merge its operation with Digital UK - the joint venture of BBC, ITV and Channel 4 which manages the broadcast, streaming and EPG of Freeview.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
Numerous other TV shows and adverts were also filmed across Sussex during lockdown.
Most recently, dramatic psychological thriller Close to Me, which first aired on Sunday, November 7, includes aerial shots of Hastings Pier and the Belle Tout Lighthouse at Beachy Head.
The Channel 4 show follows a woman who loses a year of her memory after suffering a fall.
The mini-series Behind Her Eyes on Netflix, which tells the story of a single mother who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss, including scenes filmed at Cosiez Café in St James's Street, Brighton, and in London Road between Cuckfield and Balcombe.
Sky One’s Rob and Romesh VS saw Crawley-born comedian Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett take part in challenges, including a drag contest at Proud Cabaret in St George’s Road in Brighton.
Bridgerton was also partially filmed at Brighton’s Theatre Royal, while ITV’s Grace was shot across Brighton and Hove.
