POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a fractured eye socket after being headbutted during a fight outside a nightclub.
The victim was at Cameo in Eastbourne with a group of friends when he became involved in an altercation with four men.
After a brief conversation, the 26-year-old was headbutted, causing a fracture to his eye socket.
He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital and required specialist treatment.
Police have made a new appeal for witnesses to the serious assault which occurred between 11.30pm on August 21 and 3am on August 22.
A 38-year-old man has attended a voluntary interview, but police officers believe more people are involved.
Investigating officer Fareed Camar said: “We would like to talk to anyone who was at the nightclub in Langney Road between 2am and 3.15am on the Sunday, August 22.”
