DOZENS of firefighters worked through the night to tackle a blaze at an industrial unit.
Eight fire engines including crews from Billinghurst, Horsham, Petworth and Surrey rushed to the scene in Station Road, Loxwood yesterday evening.
Pictures taken from the industrial site show the scale of the blaze, as flames lit up the dark sky.
An aerial ladder platform was also called in to assist crews, who remain on the scene this morning.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, jets and fog nails to extinguish the blaze.
Writing on Twitter, a West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with a fire at an industrial unit in Station Road, Loxwood.
"An aerial ladder platform and command support unit are also in attendance. Please avoid the area while crews tackle the blaze.
"Firefighters are using breathing apparatus, jets and fog nails to extinguish the blaze.
"The incident has now been scaled back and we currently have one crew from Midhurst at the scene, damping down any hotspots."
