THE ADORABLE moment a badger, a deer and a fox crossed paths in a garden has been caught on camera.
Julian Lloyd and his wife Gillian have intentionally turned their property in East Sussex into a nature hotspot in the hope of attracting wildlife.
In the previous two years, Julian, 62, says they have tripled the size of their garden pond, identified numerous wildlife pathways and installed 23 bird boxes.
The amendments have been key in making their garden a popular place for local wildlife to explore.
After peering out the backdoor, Gillian, a wildlife photographer, filmed an adorable encounter between an unlikely trio of animals.
A badger, a deer and a fox were all spotted in the garden just metres apart from one another.
In the video, the fox and the badger appear to communicate, while the deer stands slightly further away.
Julian said while wildlife of all sorts in their garden is common place, they’d never experienced that combination before.
"When we moved in, we noticed we were surrounded by wildlife all the time, so we decided to make our garden into a sort of wildlife reserve,” he said.
"We have identified wildlife pathways, cleared out and expanded our pond and planted numerous wild flowers. We also have log piles which are havens for mice and insects, and 23 bird boxes with several well fed birds.
"When we shared the videos on our Facebook, people were likening the encounter to something out of a Disney film or The Animals of Farthing Wood.
"Were just happy that we can provide a safe space for wildlife to come and interact - it certainly is entertaining to watch.”
The video footage was filmed at around 7pm on October 29.
