SHOCKING pictures show fire at a barn that forced a closure of the A26.
The blaze in Beddingham Road Tarring Neville led to the closure of the nearby A26 and crews from Newhaven, Seaford, Lewes and Roedean were all in attendance at the blaze after being called out at 10.45pm last night.
The incident was scaled down to one appliance by 11.51pm as the barn was allowed to burn with the owner in attendance.
In a statement East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: "At 22:45, we were called to attend a barn fire on Beddingham Road, Tarring Neville.
"Four appliances from Newhaven, Seaford, Lewes and Roedean initially attended.
"Sussex Police closed the A26 due to smoke causing visibility issues. There were no injuries to humans or livestock.
"We have now left the scene and the incident has been handed over to the landowner.
It added: "A controlled burn is now taking place and we will be sending an appliance over to ensure that this is happening safely. A fire investigation will take place once the controlled burn has been completed."
