AN ALBION player, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, has had his bail extended as police continue to investigate.
The man in his 20s, who plays for Brighton and Hove Albion, was arrested at a nightclub in Brighton in the early hours of the morning on October 6.
He was released on conditional bail by Sussex Police, along with another man in his 40s.
This bail was due to expire today.
However, Sussex Police have extended it until December 6 as investigations continue.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "The bail date for both individuals has been extended to Monday, December 6 while investigations continue.
"No further information is available at this time."
The pair, both from Brighton, remain on bail.
They cannot be named for legal reasons.
