With Halloween soon to be over inevitably people will be thinking about what to do for Christmas.

To get people in the mood for the season there will be a number of Christmas markets on in Sussex during November and December.

From Brighton to Eastbourne to Bexhill they are dotted all around the county.

It will be an opportunity for people to purchase Christmas-related crafts and enjoy some street food as the temperatures get a little colder.

Where are Christmas markets on in Sussex?

Brighton Christmas Festival and Market

Where: Various locations around the city with the central location being Valley Gardens, St Peter's Place, Brighton BN2 9QB

When: November 26 to December 31

This Christmas festival and market in Brighton is a great way to get in the festive spirit.

It features 150 festive stalls, live entertainment, a funfair and a Santa's Grotto.

Plus there is an Après Ski zone where the adults can enjoy a glass of mulled wine.

Amongst all of that there will be a spectacular finale to the event on December 31 to welcome the new year in.

It is also completely free for you to enter and wander around.

Eastbourne Christmas Market

Where: Terminus Rd, Eastbourne BN21

When: December 16-19

The Eastbourne Christmas market will feature a fantastic array of Christmas stalls, local youth traders, festive food, festive music and much more.

You can also expect an ice rink along with plenty of decorations.

It will take place from 9am to 6pm on each day it is open.

Winter Festive Market 2021

Where: Manor Barn, 4 De La Warr Road, Bexhill, East Sussex TN40 2JA

When: November 20 and 21

Taking place at Manor Barn in Bexhill, there will be over 30 stalls offering Christmas gifts and tasty goodies to eat and drink while you browse.

There will also be the opportunity for the kids to write a letter to Santa and post it into a special post box.

It will run from 11am to 3pm on both days it is open.

Worthing Christmas Craft and Gift Fair

Where: Field Place Manor House and Barns, The Blvd, Worthing, West Sussex BN13 1NP

When: December 12

For one day only you can visit the Craft and Gift Fair in Worthing, where you can try to find that perfectly unique present for a family member or friend.

You'll be able to browse stalls filled with one of a kind handcrafted gifts from local artisans and small businesses.

It will take place from 10.30am to 3.30pm on the day.

The Pop Up Emporium Christmas Market

Where: The Stade Hall, 20 Rock-a-Nore Rd, Hastings, East Sussex TN34 3DW

When: December 11 and 12

The Pop Up Emporium wil be setting up shop at Stade Hall in Hastings this winter.

They are know for being champions of supporting local crafters and creative small businesses.

It will hold a delightful range of gift ideas, including many handcrafted items.

Plus entry is free.
