A CREEPY video allegedly shows a group of people cutting themselves in a candlelit ritual in a remote woodland.
The film, which was taken by a 14-year-old boy in an unnamed East Sussex wood on Saturday, was posted to the Mumsnet website by his concerned mother.
According to her post on the parent forum, two of the four people involved in the ritual were “dressed in black like priests”, while the others were “bleeding from their arms”.
The group could be heard “chanting and mumbling”, before threatening the group of boys when they were caught filming.
“They came across four people standing in a circle with candles and markings on the ground,” the mother said.
“My son said he saw them cut themselves. When they realised they were being watched, one of the people in black told the boys they were going to cut their heads off if they don’t leave.”
The 14-year-old and his three friends had been walking in the woods when they stumbled across the group.
In the video, the group can be seen standing in a circle around what appears to be a pumpkin.
Fellow Mumsnet users were divided on whether the activity was something sinister or harmless.
One said: “Black magic ritual would be my bet, though not an organised group, as it’s such a small gathering.”
Another suggested: “Probably a bunch of idiots playing pretend. People are weird. I'd tell the police though. And ban my child from the woods.”
A third said: “Some teenagers filming a Halloween movie with fake blood. They said the threat because they were messing around and didn't actually mean it. That's my guess.”
However, the mother was quick to shut down the notion it may have been students undertaking a school project.
“If the people were teens, I’d be inclined to agree that it was some sort of film project, but the lady and the man in black look middle aged," she said.
“The ladies in normal clothes are younger, maybe early twenties.”
The mother said she had reported the incident to police.
