ADELE will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey ahead of the release of her new album.
The pop superstar, who lived in Hove, will follow in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by being interviewed by the US TV presenter.
The interview will be part of a two-hour special marking the release of the singer’s first new material in six years.
Adele: One Night Only, which will air on CBS Television Network in the US on November 14, will also feature a concert performance of songs from her upcoming fourth album 30.
Details of a UK broadcast have not yet been confirmed.
The new album is due to be released five days after the broadcast.
The 33-year-old will reportedly sit down with Oprah in the chat show host’s rose garden, where she conducted her bombshell interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in March.
An announcement on social media said: “An evening to remember is coming your way. Don’t miss out, we’re counting the days. Every song you want and new ones to hear.
“Like no other, she knew we needed her this year. Emotional, powerful, surprising… oh wait did we mention there’s an interview with Oprah!?”
During the Duke and Duchess’s interview with Oprah, the couple discussed quitting the Royal Family, racism within the institution and Meghan’s struggles with her mental health.
During Adele: One Night Only, the Grammy and Brit Award winner will also perform songs from her back catalogue, which will include Hello, Set Fire To The Rain, Someone Like You and the Bond theme Skyfall.
Adele released her comeback single Easy On Me on October 15 with the full new album due for release on November 19.
She recently described the period following her most recent album in 2015 as the most turbulent in her life.
It saw her split from charity boss husband Simon Konecki in 2019 and spark a new romance with US sports agent Rich Paul.
The 33-year-old sold the country estate in East Grinstead that she owned with Simon last year following their divorce.
She said the new album was her attempt at explaining her divorce to eight-year-old son Angelo.
