A 14-YEAR-OLD who had been reported missing has been found dead.
The boy had been reported missing and after a short search he was discovered in Kennel Lane, West Grinstead, on Monday September 27 at around 5.40pm.
Emergency services were called to the lane but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "Emergency services attended and after a short search he was found.
"Despite the work of officers and paramedics he was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
"An investigation has been started which will include assistance from other agencies.
"Agencies we are working with include public health and children's social care, and the relevant school."
Police said that the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious at this stage.
