AMAZON is set to hire more than 150 people for seasonal roles.
The company has announced it is due to hire 20,000 people across its UK network of fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations during the festive season.
This will include more than 150 jobs in the Brighton delivery station.
Pay for operations roles start at a minimum of £10 per hour, rising to £11.10 per hour in some parts of the UK for all full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal roles in Amazon’s fulfilment centres, sort centres and delivery stations.
The seasonal roles are in addition to the 55,000 permanent employees Amazon has in the UK.
Amazon Brighton senior delivery station manager Richard Ferguson said the temporary roles can lead to full-time positions at the company.
“We prepare year-round for the festive season, and we’re excited to have more than 150 positions available this year in Brighton,” he said.
“Our seasonal associates play an integral role in helping us deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.
“We look forward to welcoming back seasonal workers who return year-after-year to Amazon and to welcome new faces to the team, many of whom will continue on to full-time roles with the company after the festive period.”
This year, Amazon has created 10,000 new permanent jobs across the UK
