Price recently confirmed she has been banned from driving.
A spokesman from the Sussex Police said: "Katie Price, 43, of Worthing Road, Horsham, was charged with using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
"She was remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Remand Court on Wednesday."
She crashed her car near her home in Sussex yesterday, according to The Sun.
A family statement shared on Price’s Instagram account said: “As a family we have for some time been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health.
“Today our worst fears nearly came true. As a family we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.
“We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone.”
The family also asked the media and public to give Price space to “seek the necessary treatment”.
