THE air ambulance has landed at a recreational ground to attend a late-night emergency.

A helicopter from the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex was called to an incident near Whitley Recreational Ground, Eastbourne last night.

Pictures taken from the scene show the helicopter stationary in the park after landing in darkness.

Several officers were also snapped at an address nearby but it is unclear if the two are connected.

Several crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were also reported in the area.

Sussex Police and the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex have been contacted for comment.
