Hundreds of Virgin Medica customers across the city are expected to be without internet as the provider continues "essential works".
Customers across the south coast including those in Brighton and Hove reported Virgin Media outages yesterday, with internet and landlines down.
The scheduled maintenance began in the morning, with residents reporting their broadband being down intermittently.
According to the tracking website Downdetector, which offers real-time updates on outages, more than 300 people reported having issues with their Virgin internet at around 9.00am.
Today, hundreds of people are expected to experience the same problem, with essential works set to take place until 6pm.
Writing to customers, a Virgin spokesman said: "Hi, it's Virgin Media.
"We're carrying out essential works to modernise future proof our network in your area on Tuesday, September 14.
"This should improve your connection so you can carry on enjoying the things you love most.
"Your services might be affected for a little while on the day, but we should have you back up and running again around 6pm."
