A MAN has been arrested after a “violent” assault at a pub left another man with serious facial injuries.
The incident occurred at The William Hardwicke in High Street, Bognor, at 11.25pm on Friday, September 3.
Officers were called to the pub at 12.08am on Saturday, September 4, following reports of a man having been attacked.
The victim, a 26-year-old local man, was found with serious facial injuries having been hit with what is believed to be a glass.
A 25-year-old man from Bognor Regis was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the serious assault.
