OKTOBERFEST is coming to Brighton.
The German beer festival is traditionally held in Munich from late September to the first Sunday in October.
But Brighton’s Shelter Hall is set to be transformed into a Bavarian beer hall this October.
The Kings Road Arches venue will host nine Sussex craft brewers for a ten-day residency.
Head brewers will be on site delivering craft beers from their pop-up bars, alongside the venues wine and cocktail bar.
Those in attendance will be able to try a variety of beers, including drinks from Brighton Bier, Lost Pier Brewing, Unbarred, Franklins Brewery, 3AM Brewery, Beak Brewery, Hand Brew Co, Bedlam Brewery and Abyss.
Shelter Hall’s seven independent kitchens will also be serving up their new Autumn menus with German-inspired specials.
The food will include schnitzels from Lost Boys Chicken and BBQ bratworst from Ox Block.
Guests will be seating in the venues communal tables in the main hall, while a host of resident DJs will provide entertainment each night.
Saturday will see a live Bavarian oompah band, with singalongs encouraged.
The festival is due to take place from Friday, October 1, to Sunday, October 10.
Tickets are available from £15 per person on the Shelter Hall website.
The tickets include a three-hour sitting and a pint of craft beer on arrival.
