A FREEDOM of Information request today reveals the council car parks where drivers receive the most parking fines.
Drivers at Stanmer Park have received the most car parking fines from Brighton and Hove City Council, followed closely by those illegally parking at The Ingram Estate in Hove.
The following is the number of fines issued by One Parking Solution at council-run car parks between January and mid-June this year.
Earlier this year, the council was asked to stop using the parking company accused of slapping disabled drivers with £100 at a beauty spot.
It came after The Argus was contacted by several angry residents who have been hit with tickets for parking within the grounds at Stanmer Park during the coronavirus pandemic.
Independent councillor Bridget Fishleigh raised the issue of a private contractor, employed by the council, giving tickets to cars showing Blue Badges.

A Brighton and Hove City Council spokesman said: “The parking enforcement carried out by One Parking Solutions for us in these areas is for the benefit of residents who pay to be able to park there.
“The areas with the highest number of tickets tend to be those where there is extra pressure from commuters, visitors, shoppers and business parking.
“We only enforce in cases where there is wrongful parking.
“We are not aware of any residents at either Ellen Street or Ingram Crescent complaining to us about the number of penalty charge notices issued.
"One Parking Solutions still carries out enforcement for us in Stanmer Village. But it stopped its enforcement role in Stanmer Park in February.”
