AN AUDI driver suspected of driving while over the limit for drugs is under investigation after a collision with a pedestrian.
Officers responded to a report that a 57-year-old man had suffered serious injuries in an incident involving an Audi car that happened opposite the Smugglers Rest Pub in Peacehaven at 4.40pm on Wednesday.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, for treatment.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle while over the limit for drugs.
He has been released under investigation.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the collision involving a car and a pedestrian in South Coast Road, Telscombe Cliffs.
