It is time to get the suncream and the parasols out this weekend - for perhaps the last time - as Brighton is expected to bask in sunshine for the Bank Holiday.
According to the Met Office, residents and visitors to the city can expect sunny intervals and clear skies at times throughout the weekend and into Monday, with only a small chance of any rain.
However, those looking forward to a scorching heat wave like earlier this summer will be disappointed - temperatures are expected to reach a high of 21C, and feel more like 18C.
Unfortunately, as August and summer come to an end, the Met Office forecasts a return to more wet and windy weather.
Their long-range forecast said: “There is a signal for high pressure and associated settled conditions to gradually become less dominant, with a trend towards more unsettled conditions.
“This may bring changeable conditions with periods of showers and longer spells of rain, interspersed with drier spells at times.”
Temperatures are likely to be above average for the time of year, the forecast added.
The change in weather comes as more hurricanes are set to develop in the Atlantic as the peak of the hurricane season approaches towards the end of this month and early September.
