A MAN arrested after a body was found in a doorway has been bailed.
The 56-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found in the doorway to an address in Brittany Road, Hove, at about 4.20am yesterday.
The two men were known to each other and the death is being treated as unexplained.
A Home Office post mortem to determine the cause of death is due to take place later today.
The arrested man has been bailed pending further enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
"Please contact Sussex Police online or 101 quoting serial number 0147 of 20/8/21."
Forensic teams scoured the driveway of the home as officers stood guard by police tape, which had been attached to the home’s bins.
Investigators were then seen dusting a Volvo D3 parked outside for fingerprints before covering the car in a protective sheet.
Officers conducted door-to-door enquires as detectives spoke to two people in a car parked nearby.
