THIS is the moment firefighters rescued a cat caught in a "spot of bother" on a roof.
Crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service braved the "very high" roof of a property in Aldwick Road, Bognor yesterday.
Using a crane and harness, one crew member was seen scaling the rooftop while "gently coaching" the animal down.
The cat was reunited with its owner, who "did the right thing" in calling for assistance, the service said.
Sharing a video of the rescue on Facebook, a West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "We are delighted to say the cat has now been reunited with its owner!
"They did the right thing in calling for assistance, rather than putting themselves in danger trying to carry out a rescue.
"Our Technical Rescue Unit train for this type of rescue from height regularly, but this was a good opportunity for them to put that training into action."
