THE air ambulance has landed near a children's nursery school as emergency services respond to a medical incident involving a child.
Officers from Sussex Police, as well as crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene near Busy Bees Nursery School, in Eastbourne at 11:55am.
The child has been taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
One police community support officer guards the entrance to the site as emergency services deal with the incident.
A helicopter from the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex was also snapped landing in a field nearby.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Emergency services were called to a medical incident involving a child at the Busy Bees Nursery in Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, at 11.55am on Tuesday.
"The child has been taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment and there is no further update at this time."
