A NURSERY has been named as one of the best in the country after receiving thousands of votes from parents.
Mums and dads have rated Brookham Nursery, in Highfield Lane, Liphook as one of the top 20 in the South East of England.
It was placed ahead of around 2,000 other nurseries, after a poll that attracted more than 57,000 votes.
Sophie Baber, the headteacher at Brookham School, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have been named among the Top 20 nurseries in the South East.
"What makes it particularly special is that the reviews have come from parents of our pupils, so there really can be no better endorsement.
"There's an awful lot of competition out there when it comes to a top-quality nursery provision, so it's hugely important that we stay ahead of the curve and continue to offer our children a varied, interesting, thought-provoking and fun education.
"Happy children equals happy parents, and the positive response we continue to have from our parents suggests that we are very much on the right lines."
The award was given by the nursery review site daynurseries.co.uk and is based on votes received between May 2019 and May 2021.
Brookham Nursery, which costs £60.45 a day, helps families from across West Sussex as well as Surrey and Hampshire.
It was given an award based on its overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning, resources and equipment and ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding as well as value for money.
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager, said: "We would like to congratulate Brookham Nursery on being rated by parents as a top nursery in South East England.
"Being chosen as one of the best nurseries in the UK by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a massive achievement.
"The past year has been a huge challenge for nurseries, many of whom were offering childcare to vulnerable and keyworker children during the various lockdowns and giving children that all-important normality.
"We hope these awards will boost the spirits of nursery staff who have been through such a lot and give parents vital guidance in choosing the right nursery for their child.
"Reviews of our Top 20 nurseries show these settings stimulate and nurture children, improving their social and emotional wellbeing and enhancing their learning."
