THE M23 Northbound is closed due to overrunning roadworks.
There are severe delays due to overrunning road works from junction ten A264 Copthorne Way (Crawley) to junction eight M25 Interchange.
There is congestion to junction 11 (Pease Pottage) and heavy congestion on the A22 diversion between Newchapel and Blindley Heath, and passing Godstone approaching the M25.
Sussex Road Police tweeted: “Please avoid the M23 Northbound from Crawley onwards at this time. There is a lane two and three closure. Avoid! Thank you.”
Road resurfacing should have finished by 6am, but now expected to be most of the morning.
Diversion: A264 East and the A22 Londonbound.
