A MAJOR carriageway has been closed due to a diesel spillage
Police have shut the A27 eastbound at the Hangleton interchange whilst the spillage is cleared.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area as Highways England arrive at the scene.
Writing on Twitter, a spokesman from Sussex Roads Police said: "We currently have a lane one closure on the A27 eastbound at Hangleton Interchange whilst we deal with a diesel spillage.
