A GROUP of Travellers have set up camp at a popular Littlehampton park.

As many as ten caravans and other assorted vehicles have been pictured parked in Linden park, which is near the River Arun.

Pictures taken from the site show several caravans stopped next to a children's play area which appears to be used as a washing line.

It is understood the group arrived at the park yesterday before being confronted by police later that evening.

Officers from Sussex Police were pictured approaching the camp and speaking to several individuals.

The force has been contacted for comment.
