Festivities kicked off on the Friday night headlined by DJ Carl Cox, followed by performances by Chase & Status and more on Saturday, before Sunday’s sets were cancelled due to “extreme weather”.
After the events cancellation, revellers climbed up underneath Brighton Palace Pier to continue the party.
However, police said a 22-year-old man, from Brighton, was reportedly attacked and robbed by three men at the event between 9pm and 9.30pm on July 24.
The victim suffered injuries to his face and a suspected concussion. He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for precautionary checks.
According to police, a gold chain necklace, believed to be worth around £1,000, was stolen from around his neck.
“Witnesses reported two other men stopping bystanders from helping the victim during the assault,” a police spokesman said.
“The attack took place in front of a large crowd of people and anybody who witnessed it, or has any information which could help, is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 966 of 25/07.”
