ARMED police attended an address in Turners Hill Road following a report of men carrying a knife, three men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "At 3.30pm on Sunday August 1 police were called to a report of men behaving suspiciously, and in possession of a knife, at an address in Turners Hill Road, Pound Hill, Crawley.
"Officers contained the address and at 4.20pm three men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
"They are currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
"There are no reports of injuries, or of firearms having being present at this stage."
Police say there is no risk to the community.
A video posted to Facebook by Spotted Crawley shows multiple armed police with riot shields and firearm support dogs outside a house.
Members of the public also saw a police helicopter circling above the area for 45 minutes.
