A CIRCUS starring a diverse cast of artists from around the globe is opening.
Zippos Circus 2021 carnival tour is opening on Hove Lawns today and will be presented by Brazilian showman Paulo Dos Santos... a comic, acrobat and martial artist who stands at just over a metre tall.
The show will display acrobats and aerialists, comics, and daredevil motorcyclists who have all come together from all over the world.
They include knife-throwers from the Czech Republic and hand-balancing from the Garcia family.
The circus will also have the return of the Globe of Death and its team of motorcyclists performing high-velocity stunts.
Martin "Zippo" Burton, founder and proprietor of Zippos Circus, said: "Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided that we will not be returning to our pre-Covid capacity and we will retain a reduced capacity to ensure circus goers still feel safe.
"We prefer masks to be worn in the tent to keep our audience, artists and company safe. Our audiences' cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
"For their safety, please note our staff will retain masks and screens.
"We will also continue with additional ventilation measures and regular antibacterial fogging, as well as providing multiple hand sanitising points."
