A MERCEDES has been set alight as part of a series of suspected targeted incidents, police have revealed.
Officers were called to Quebec Road, St Leonards, on Sunday following reports of the black car being set alight at around 10pm.
The owner of the Mercedes also had windows smashed at their home around the same time and again at 2.55am on Tuesday morning.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or vehicles in Quebec Road around this time.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Officers are particularly keen to speak to a woman in Marline Road who may have seen petrol canisters being loaded or unloaded from a vehicle.
"Anybody who can help with the investigation or has relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage can report online or by contacting 101, quoting serial 1531 of 25/07."
