A CRASH on the A259 which has left a pedestrian with serious injuries is causing significant traffic delays.
The A259 South Coast Road is closed both ways at Peacehaven, with traffic queueing after a crash at the junction of Downland Avenue and the A259 South Coast Road, Peacehaven.
Police said a car collided with a male pedestrian about 3.45pm on Monday.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
There is congestion to Buckle Bypass, while traffic travelling between Saltdean and Newhaven is also affected.
The accident occurred about 3.45pm.
