THE A259 has been closed both ways.

There is heavy traffic in the area and a detour is in operation, which is affecting Brighton and Hove 12 bus services.
A spokeswoman for the bus company said: "Exceat Bridge, A259 is closed.
"Our BH12, BH12A & BH12X services are diverting via A26 and the A27 in both directions.
"There is a shuttle between Chyngton Denton Corner and the #BH12X is serving Denton Corner
"Services from Eastbourne are operating up to Victoria Drive before diverting."
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called around 3.30am on Monday (July 26) to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the A259 Exceat Bridge, at Seaford.
"The road was blocked temporarily to allow the vehicle to be recovered and the carriageway to be cleared."
