REVELLERS are climbing up underneath the pier as crowds gathered following the cancellation of a beach party.
The crowd has gathered under the Palace Pier in Brighton following the cancellation of On The Beach, which was due to host its third day until it was abruptly cancelled this afternoon.
One person under the pier told The Argus they had tickets for On The Beach but as it was called off they headed to the beach under the pier instead.
He said: "I headed to the beach for the On The Beach party but as it was cancelled we came here.
"People are climbing under the pier.
“There’s tonnes of people here, most have come for the party but resorted to raving under the pier. People have brought their own speakers and are having a great time as some people scale the supporting beams of the pier."
