TWO weapon shells have been recovered by an explosive disposal team.
A Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called to an address in Brighton on Monday at the request of Sussex Police.
A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said a team from Southern Diving Unit 2 from Portsmouth responded to the call-out.
Two 30mm shells were recovered for subsequent disposal.
The Ministry of Defence spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called out to an address in Brighton at the request of Sussex Police. All further queries should be directed to the police.”
Sussex Police has been approached for comment.
